Quick ID

In September Bonnie Grabenhofer and Dottie Soelke presented ways to do Quck ID (Instructional Design) to members of the NorthWest Network (www.northwestnetwork.org).

As a seasoned instructional designer and performance technologist, Bonnie uses her experience to move quickly and  decisively through the instructional design process. "It's not about skipping steps," says Grabenhofer. "It's more about knowing what to use when. That's the value of experience."

During the presentation they identified ways ID can be done faster without sacrificing quality, what master developers do differently, tips for managing projects and best practices worth using in your practice. Participants shared tips they found useful.

Grabenhofer Receives Varsity I

Champaign, IL:  In November 2003, Bonnie Grabenhofer was awarded the Illini varsity letter she earned as a member of the University of Illinois Women’s Tennis Team 1967-1971. Bonnie competed in intercollegiate athletics at a time when women athletes bought their own equipment and uniforms, paid their own travel expenses and often refereed their own games. Women did not receive the recognition, honor or scholarships given to male athletes until the passage of Title IX of the Education Act in 1974. Title IX is the landmark legislation that prohibited sex discrimination in any educational activity.

Bonnie received her "I" at a ceremony where the The U of I Division of Intercollegiate Athletics honored female athletes who competed prior to Title IX. For those, like Bonnie, who struggle for civil rights and equality this ceremony was one of those great moments. Thank you!
